![]() I'll give her more pellets, more water, and more exercise. I'll ask Ly for the further guidance on my piggies veggies list and what should I give to Pikka since now she's having a bloat. Some veggies in Ly list are pretty rare in here, and many of them are not available in here. I think I'm going to stop her veggies consumption for 1-2 days, to see how her stomach will react. Are big stomach is normal when piggy gets a bloat? As far as I can see, she's shedding, but her side is normal (no baldness), and her nipples are normal. I put her pellet bowl and the hay near her, and also counting how many pellets that I put in it (I put 40 pellets), so I will know if she's eating it or not.Īnd her stomach looks big, I'm also worried if she's get ovarian cyst too (or maybe that's the cause). Can I give her more pellets, my pellets is not grass-based, so I'm quite worried about she not getting enough fiber. ![]() Her water bottle seems same with yesterday. Does it mean I should stop the veggies temporarily? She's eating very very few of her hay and only eat the pellet mesh and drink the water that I syringed to her. She's started pooping again but not as many as before I gave her veggies (her poops as small as baby poops). So I gave her pellet mesh and syringe her with water again, belly massaged, and also the exercise. I gave her :Īfter that, she's not pooping again, and her stomach looks full like before (this morning wasn't that big). I read at guinealynx if giving a bit veggies is okay so that's what I gave to her for dinner. I would share my story with cimetidine, exercise thing, and belly massage to that vet, I hope my experience would help him one way closer to become a cavy savvy.īy the way, should I give her another dose of cimetidine even if she looks better now?Įrrr.I have a bit problem (again) with Pikka. If another case happened, I won't take her to the vet as my first choice but checked guinealynx and see what I can do. He's a very nice guy, and I don't know why but I really have faith in him. I still think that he gave that prescription because he didn't know the effect. And for the vet, I still not giving up about him. She's more active now, but she doesn't eat and drink by herself, so I still need to handfeeding her. This morning, when I wake up, I checked her cage and saw several small poops. And put her inside a fleece blanket, she seemed enjoy it and slept (I think she was pretty tired). ![]() She seemed didn't like it at the first, but after several minutes, she started liking it and just laying in my lap.Īfter finished doing that, I put her back in her cage. When she finished her exercise, I took her and gave her belly massage. I know it seems cruel to chasing her but I didn't have much choice. ![]() Only tiles, and it was around 2 a.m so I'm afraid if the floor are cool enough for her and it only make it worse. I used the cage, because her floor time area is my room, which is not covered by carpet. She didn't want to move by herself, that's why I need to do something to make her exercise. She doesn't like it if anyone touch her bottom, so I just use it as a weapon to keep her move and exercise (I read that exercise could help reducing the gas). I've been handfeeding Pikka pellet mesh and syringe her with water, I also gave her cimetidine (dose based on guinealynx), and chasing her around her cage.
